We have pleasure in presenting the exciting work of the Master of Architecture graduates which have been exploring the future potential of two unique communities; one, providing imagination and inspiration for Aberdeen’s waterfront as part of a new social, economic and technological vision of its future and the other focusing on a sustainable vision for the island of Orkney, exploring it’s globally important archaeological and cultural heritage, its history, its people, its uniqueness which draw inspiration for its future.

This highly creative, detailed, and research-informed work has involved input from a range of external agencies and, whilst hypothetical and ambitious in nature, posits ideas that are entirely achievable. As a result they are deserving of a public audience to stimulate thinking and promote constructive debate.
